WCI offers Career and Employment services to the new immigrants through Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers (EMCN) counsellors team comprising of five career practitioners and one job developer. The service enables immigrants to  understand labour market and employment requirements in their relevant profession and  career planning in Edmonton.

Employment  Workshops
Resume and Job Search Workshop is conducted weekly and helps newcomers in developing their job search skills. The following topics are covered under the workshop.

Counselling for Job search and Career Planning
After attending workshop participant is booked with the Career Practitioner (CP) for individual counseling. CP facilitates client in finalizing Resume and Cover Letter and also helps in finding job with the assistance of Job Developer.

Job Club
Clients seek assistance from the Job Developer in identifying prospective jobs and application process. This exercise also gives an opportunity to the clients to enhance their skills in job search process.    

Employers’ Liaison 
WCI Job Developer builds relationships with the employers to learn about their requirements for employees and facilitates immigrants in job search process by connecting job seekers to the employers as per their requirements.
